Welcome to the Shillington Lower School website. The site has been built entirely in-school, with contributions from parents, governors, the PTA and teachers. On the site here, you'll find the latest news, details of PTA and school events, as well as information about some of the activities of which we're most proud. For a quick snapshot, we're a rural school set in a sprawling, pleasant village in mid-Bedfordshire. While most of us come from the village itself, some of us come from other villages, such as Silsoe, Clophill, Shefford, Campton, Meppershall and Barton-le-Clay. We are a mixed school, teaching children from 4 to 9 years old. There are over 100 children here, split into five classes - Rainbows (the Foundation Class), Year 1 and on up to Year 4. We work hard each year to make sure that we have one class for each year group - so our largest class this year is of 26 pupils.
